Qur’anic Fortunes – Tajweed Tangents

Tajweed Tangents is the new title for a small video series I plan on continuing. It’s a compilation of videos and footage I have from the Tajweed class I took with Wisam Sharieff.

If you know or have been in one of Wisam’s classes (especially the one-weekend ones), you’ll know that he loves to go off on various tangents that are both insightful and hold much wisdom. This is just that.

This is technically the 2nd episode, but the last one wasn’t an official video series.

In this episode:

Wisam tells us about the possibility of taking our study of the Qur’an further. Tajweed, the correct pronunciation and recitation of the Qur’an, is an awesome study. However, a new level is the understanding and contemplation over the meaning of the Qur’an. He tells us too look deeper, even past the scientific miracles we know of, but at the stuff we as humans haven’t discovered yet.

The verse he reads is in Surah Mulk, Verse 5. And it also speaks of the lowest heaven being adorned in Surah Saffat, Verse 6.

Oh and the verse he quotes is I believe is in Surah Mulk the fifth verse

  InshaAllah it really has some great wisdom…(it may be only about 2 more videos, I don’t have a whole LOT of footage, but I’ll put up what I have inshaAllah.) If there’s still a demand for it, then maybe I’ll just have to travel to take another class with him.
